FarmSay this June: Slow Starts and Small Restarts
June arrived with the monsoon still missing, I stayed largely in a holding pattern.
Hydroponics and aeroponics remained paused, late and stuttering monsoon made it the right call. A reset rather than a restart. New sowing is lined up for this weekend.
Microgreens broke the quiet. A batch of wheatgrass and radish, three trays between them, is now underway. Small and deliberate, but a return to something that works.
The bees are holding. Stable, unspectacular, doing what bees do.
On animal husbandry front, things are moving carefully. Legal groundwork and CA advice are shaping the terms of what a serious engagement would look like.
June also took me to Hyderabad for three days. A personal visit, but one that left a mark.
In the background, Mysore Grahakara Parishat has revamped their website. Worth a look and find ways to engage, if the work speaks to you.
June was heavier on invisible groundwork than milestones. The hydroponics reset is coming. The microgreens are in their trays.
